"Hokuto International Music Festival (HIMF)" 2007 had quite good results. I wrote an article “Look back upon HIMF 2007” as the Artistic Director. You can see it at our website: www.hokutofestival.com

At the beginning of the year 2007
After completing "Minoru Miki, eight operas along 1500 years Japanese history", 2006 was still busy year for me. 
Specially, "Hokuto International Music Festival  (HIMF)"06 which I founded and directed in August opened my new carrier.

At the middle of the year 2006
My three acts opera Ai-en (To die for love), which commissioned from the National Opera House of Japan (New National Theatre, Tokyo) and concluded the work "Minoru Miki, eight full length opera series along 1500 years' Japanese history" had its world premiere on 17, 18, 19 February 2006.

At the beginning of the year 2006
I already announced my important achievement on my opera works in last year.

At middle summer of the year 2005
I am very glad to announce several achievements on my works at this point.

I finally completed the vocal score of "Ai-en", an opera in three acts on December 3, 2004.

Notwithstanding my prayer, in spite of our anxiety, the world seems to lose human way, and wondered deep into the bush.

The year 2002 has been a busy year as usual, then in 2003, projects are succeeding like below.

After completing “The Tale of Genji”, my 7th full length opera according long Japanese history and premiered by the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis in June 2000 ( See Opera category in this URL), I composed next pieces:

December 24, 1999
At the beginning of this month, I completed my seventh opera “The Tale of Genji” written in English. The world famous original novel was written by Lady Murasaki Shikibu, and Colin Graham wrote the libretto. This opera is commissioned by the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and will be world premiered by OTSL on June 15, 17, 21, 23, 25 in 2000.
